Second Chance Toys
November 10th through December 1st
Cartridge World, Gurnee
Cartridge World has teamed up with Second Chance Toys, an organization that rescues and recylces unwanted plastic toys for needy children. Your clean, gently used platic toy donations will be collected amd given to the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago which serves 1500 low income families and offers programs for hundreds more. By keeping these toys out of our landfills, you will be helping the environment, as plastic toys do not biodegrade easily.

Drop off platic toys at Cartridge World (Gurnee), 5250 Grand Ave., Gurnee. Toys must be platic, clean in good condition, have no small or missing pieces and battery powered toys need to be operational. Lake Villa's Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting & Children's Party
November 29th, 5:30pm
We are planning our annual lighted Christmas Parade, tree lighting ceremony and Children's Party on November 29th. If possible we ask that you add mini lights to your floats, cars, trucks, etc. Please fill out parade form (see sidebar) if you are interested in participating this year. No entry fee.

Parade starts 5:30pm at Palombi School on McKinley
Tree lighting will take place immediately after the parade at Lehmann Park. Refreshments and entertainment will be held in the train station. Donations of canned foods for Lake Villa's Township food pantry will be appreciated.

Come join us for food, fun and festivities. Bring your employees - plenty of parking on Cedar Ave and in the car dealer parking lot. Visit all nine of the businesses involved and be eligible for one of nine raffle items. Turn your form in before 7pm at Blackthorn Grille for the raffle drawing.

Deck The House Contest
Now Until Monday, December 15th
Lindenhurst Park District
Share in the spirit of the season by decorating your house for the holidays! You must register your house to be judged. To register just call or stop by the Park District office before 5pm on Monday, December 15th. Registered houses will be judged on Tuesday, December 16th between 5:30pm-7:30pm. Tree Lighting at the Park District

Come out and join the fun at the annual tree lighting. Santa arrives at 5:30pm and the lighting of the holiday tree outside is at 5:40pm. Everyone is invited inside for many fun activities: free children's raffle (11 and under), Jason the Juggler, free cookies and juice, make a holiday craft. We will also be collecting canned food items for the Lake Villa Township Food Pantry. Please share the holiday spirit and help those in need.
